Stella A. Kotziamani

Stella specializes in corporate, commercial, as well as banking, finance and capital markets law and mergers & acquisitions. She also focuses and provides legal advice in Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), data protection and regulatory compliance issues.

She has participated in major HAPS and other securitization transactions, sale and purchase transactions for the acquisition and servicing of credit, as well as financing and complex M&A projects. She has extensive experience in corporate governance and regulatory compliance issues. Having served as in-house legal counsel she was responsible for the overview of all corporate legal mandates of the company, offering crucial guidance to ensure continuous compliance with business process laws and regulations. Stella has provided specialized legal opinion and advice to avoid downstream exposure to disputes and liabilities under any commercial contract, legislation or law, by ensuring compliance with all applicable contractual, statutory and other legal requirements. She has also served as liquidator, having dealt with the full range of business, labor, operational, legal and compliance issues arising during run-off liquidation periods.

Stella has extensive experience in formulating organizational and business strategies based on ESG principles, as well as in-depth knowledge of Greek and European corporate governance legislation, having delved into both the legal and business aspects of regulatory compliance. Using her strong negotiation skills, she focuses on win-win strategies and problem solving by suggesting practical solutions that bridge the gap between law and business.

Before becoming a partner of Kerameus & Partners, Stella held significant positions in credit and financial institutions, such as General Counsel, Head of Legal & Compliance, Head of Legal & Governance and Secretary of the Board of Directors.
