Dimitris K. Papagiannakis

Dimitris specializes in judicial dispute resolution and has successfully handled more than 4.000 cases over the years. He is advising and representing companies active in a wide range of industries which include insurance, transportation and logistics, motor leasing, commercial, medical suppliers, retailers and hotel businesses. He practises the full spectrum of civil Law with expertise on law of obligations and tort, commercial law with focus on private insurance law – matters of Solvency II Directive, public law and international transportation & logistics law.

Handled transactions include, inter alia, representation of a Greek insurance company in achieving the first portfolio transfer agreement on motor third party liability insurance ever concluded in Greece, representation of Greece’s biggest retailer against an electrical power supplier that illegally implemented adjustment clauses in electricity bills, advising numerous insurance companies on issues related to claims handling, insurance policies terms and conditions, insurance regulatory framework, insurance intermediaries and handling of judicial cases on relevant matters, advising and representing in  judicial cases numerous transportation companies, international forwarders and logistics companies, participation in the buyout of one of the leading hotels in Athens by a UK based fund, representation of a multinational motor leasing company running a fleet of more than 25,000 vehicles in Greece on issues related to claims and judicial cases handling and execution of a real estate contract for one of the largest logistic warehouses built in Greece.

Over the years Dimitris has appeared before the Supreme Court of Greece in various groundbreaking cases that have changed long established precedents.

Dimitris belongs to a family of established lawyers and is the third-generation lawyer in the family. Before becoming a partner of Kerameus & Partners (2019), Dimitris was a founding partner of the law office “Papagiannakis, Mikrouleas & Associates’’ (2010-2019) and earlier of the law offices ‘’Angelides – Papagiannakis & Associates’’ (2002-2010) and ‘’Papagiannakis Law Offices’’ (1995-2002).
