She has been practicing law in Athens for over 30 years in a very large variety of cases. She has handled cases before most courts and government authorities, drafted pleadings and appeared for oral arguments, sought provisional remedies, conducted negotiations and settlement discussions, and provided legal advice in the following fields:
- Civil law (legal advice and proceedings concerning contractual obligations, sales and exchanges, leases, contracts for services, employment contracts, loans);
- Commercial law (legal advice concerning industrial property matters, trade names and trademarks, corporation formation, consolidation, transformation, dissolution, liquidation, transfer of ownership; for many years legal adviser for Greek representative of major Italian vehicle manufacturer and local adviser of major French vehicle manufacturer);
- Property law (legal advice concerning real estate sales contracts, ownership rights, predial servitudes, court proceedings concerning real estate ownership);
- Tax law (broad range of tax matters in proceedings before administrative courts representing mainly companies);
- Family law (divorce proceedings, adoption proceedings, legal advice and proceedings regarding legal effects of parentage, protection of minors and of incapacitated persons);
- Law of succession (proceedings including acceptance of inheritance, renunciation of successions, intestate successions, testament successions); and
- Labor law (court proceedings concerning termination of employment).
Ms. Sarris-Kerameus has also served as an arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings.
Ms. Sarris-Kerameus is a graduate of:
- the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Faculty of Law, Economics & Political Sciences (economics degree);
- the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Law, Economics & Political Sciences (Masters in international economics); and
- the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Law, Economics & Political Sciences (law degree).
She is fluent in Greek (native), English, German and French.
